What is a Microfiber Cloth?
One of our favorite wiping cloth is microfiber – hands down; they just work like magic when used for cleaning.
These rags or wipers as we call them are very effective at cleaning which makes them popular in many industries. Although this type of wiping rag may not be cost effective for all jobs we definitely suggest having some on hand. You can order directly from our website and have them delivered to your door quickly.
Why does a Microfiber cloth work so well?
Microfiber is a specific type of very fine synthetic textile fiber. There are tons of fibers on the microfiber cloth. The most common microfiber towels are made of a combination of a polyester and polyamide blend. The polyester provides the structure of the towel while the polyamide increases density and absorption.
The fibers are made by pushing fibers through a plastic pipe while adding heat to them causing them to weave together. The finished product is fused fibers that have been split apart into microfibers 10 – 20 times smaller. The amount of fibers on a microfiber is astronomical compared to a normal wiping rag. One square inch of microfiber cloth has approximately 200,000 fibers – way more than a standard rag.
Positively Charged Microfiber Cloth
Microfibers are able to attach themselves to even the smallest, most microscopic dirt particles with adhesive forces. Yep that’s right; dirt, dust, and other particles get pulled to microfiber cloths. The fibers are split in the process of being created as the cloth becomes positively charged, meanwhile dirt and dust are negatively charged causing an attraction.
We highly suggest jumping on the microfiber bandwagon. If you are looking for a wiper that has taken its game to the next level then look no further.
