Celebrating Earth Day

Every year on April 22nd, close to 1 billion people in over 190 countries celebrate and raise awareness of environmental consciousness for our planet.

By celebrating ‘Earth Day’ are contributing and showing you are part of a global movement. While it's all about raising awareness it is also a day to celebrate achievements of the environmental movement and get outdoors.

Earth Day originated in 1970 as a day of focus and education about environmental issues. Today it has grown to a global movement focused on green living and combating the climate crisis. According to the Earth Day Network, Earth Day is the largest secular civic event in the world.

Here at A&A Wiping Cloth, we do our part to help the environment. We are by far the largest linen recycler west of the Mississippi diverting over 7,000,000 pounds of linens and clothing from landfills. We have helped as a business to do our part in promoting sustainability and take direct action to keep the environment clean. Our array of environmentally sustainable wiping cloths and recycled wiping rag options are a great choice for your business as well as the environment.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

Here are some simple ideas that you can try:

Go through your old clothes and recycle what is not going to be used. Make sure to always extend the life of your clothes and linen by recycling them. There is a great article on our blog that details how to recycle your clothes.

Organize a clean up event at a local beach, nature park, or water source. Earth Day is a great day for this type of activity with others.

Plant a tree or help out in a community garden. Not only are you helping the environment, you're also enjoying the benefits of being outside.

Buy recycled items such as reusable rags! Here are a few to choose from:

Recycled Blue Surgical Towels

Recycled Green Surgical Towels

Recycled White Knit Rags

Recycled White Terry Towels

Recycled Color Terry Towels

Recycled Color Knit Rags

Recycled Cotton Diapers

Recycled Bar Towels

Just remember it is the little things you do that add up to make an impact.

Happy Earth Day 2023 from the A&A Wiping Cloth Team.
